I absolutely enjoy working with Salman because I completely agree with the fact that he is the original rockstar. Nobody else is a rockstar quite like him and there is simply nobody else like him. He’s one of the most amazing actors we’ve got because the way he switches on and switches off with the camera is incredible. He becomes someone else when the camera is on and is somebody else when it’s off. He could be joking, playing around and saying something out of this planet before a shot and suddenly, with the lights, he’s all there; and that’s very difficult for an actor. Salman is a great actor because he can just transform into anybody. Full marks to him. My rapport with him, from the first day has been super. Maybe because we’re both alike - truthful, honest - so he and we connect.

Kinski was not an actor - I wouldn't call him an artist either, nor am I. Of course, he mastered the techniques of being an actor, the technique of speech, of understanding the presence of light and of the camera, the choreography of camera and of bodily movements... But at the core of Klaus Kinski was not his existence as an actor - he was something beyond that and apart from it.

Saif is a brilliant actor, undoubtedly. He is one of my favorites and I enjoy watching him on screen. Both of us agree we have great chemistry onscreen that stems from our off screen rapport. We trust each other as actors. While shooting we never tried to outdo each other. The other day we were watching the preview if our film and, at the end, we both agreed that we look so hot together.

I think the whole thing's changing a lot. The traditions of Hollywood are grand and great and are going to survive forever, in a way. But they're not going to be the only way for much longer. The technology is such now that you don't have to have millions of dollars to make a movie. You can make one with a computer. Like the Ze Frank show. I don't know if you know who that guy is, but at ZeFrank.com, he makes a couple-minute show every day. What he does is f**king great, and he does it all by himself. I think those lines between "behind the camera" and "in front of the camera," the lines between actor, writer, director, the lines between audience and performer… all those lines are kind of dissolving. And I'm real curious where it's going to lead.
